Hi Rodney — Marilyn again … I’ve always wondered is the Sophie that appears in The Sea Garden the same Sophie Corbett (née Hope-Latymer) : Those Who Serve, The Courtyard ?? Thank you. So glad you give us so much more info on the recurring characters and families. Great job !!

Just re-read the Sea Garden and have concluded that this is another Sophie with no last name. However, she’s a strong and wonderful character.

I find it very helpful, (Oliver’s last name is wrong). Love all of the companion work you have done thus far.

Hi Rodney, love the info you provided on the characters. My thought is, read what you want and ignore the rest. Love your blogs, the companion is great and obviously, Marcia’s books are wonderful. Her opening paragraphs in ‘The Children’s Hour’ are pure magic. Sending love and wishes to you from central Kansas.

Hi Rodney — Keep all as is and add as needed. Enjoy all your fine work. The fact that a family tree may hold ‘spoliers’ doesn’t matter and can actually enhance. Thank you.

Hi Rodney, Since you’ve asked for input, here is mine: I enjoy family trees, but often find them full of spoilers — deaths, marriages and divorces are revealed before one gets to the actual story. I would prefer a basic character page listing personality traits and the book(s) in which they appear.

    • This the eternal problem with family trees and why I don’t like them in books. I felt this was different – you don’t have to look at them unless you want to’ Are you suggesting it would be better to leave out the fates? Would you like mire details about the characters such as hair colour?

You’re correct, I don’t have to look at the characters before reading the book; I definitely appreciate that The Characters link is separate from the book links. Thank you for that! 🙂
